BLOG #2
The article I chose to do my paper on is, the one written by Isreal Butler, entitled "Video Games: The Answer to Adolescent Aggression." I chose this particular article because I totally agree. I do say that violent games can play a small role in the influence of teen violnce, but not quite. Like Butler said, some of the violence scenes on some of these games are just unrealistic. Most of the time, kids/teens imitate what they see or hear on television, or just what they see going on around them. I can definitley relate to the "Grand Theft Auto," game. We have that particular game (all of them), and I enjoy them, and of course I find them so unreal. Kinda like what Butler said about the innocent person getting multilated by a chainsaw, then 10 seconds later brought back to life, everyone should have enough common sense to know that is so fake. But on the other hand,if you know that your kid/teen gets influenced by games like this, the best thing to do is..not buy it.
